Mental health counseling services help students & school staff to succeed

Thrive provides school-based mental health counseling services that strengthen schools and transform the lives of students and staff.

Student progress data consistently shows that students who receive our mental health support services have improved attendance and academic success. And, our counseling services  reduce out-of-district placements, with 97% of students who receive counseling being retained in the district.

That saves the district upwards of $90,000 in tuition and transportation costs per student.

In addition, having Thrive mental health counseling services allows districts to develop and implement transition plans to return students from out-of-district placements.

And here’s what many school districts are overlooking: teachers and other staff members also need mental wellness support. They face increasing burdens due to the pandemic, remote learning, and increasing student behavioral issues. Many are struggling with no source of mental health support.

When you partner with Thrive, your district gets a safe support system, expert resources, and actionable plans to improve mental wellness for students and staff alike.

What our school partners say about our mental health counseling services

Originally we invested in Thrive to support a very specific segment of our student population. However, we gained so much more than just counseling services. When a district invests in Thrive, a district invests in a licensed clinical social worker and the entire Thrive team behind the scenes. Thrive will help you problem-solve and bring new ideas to life. In addition, we work together to provide seminars for professionals and parents. What makes Thrive so wonderful are the people supporting and implementing the program.

Janet Cash, Director Of Special Services And Counseling, Franklin Lakes School District

With Thrive, we are more proactive and less reactive, providing services at an earlier juncture. Students are getting the necessary therapy so that they don’t get referred. Thrive is also supporting staff to make them better and parents to make them more effective at home.

Walter Curioni, Director Of Special Services, Randolph Public School District

Thrive has been an unbelievable addition to our team because we now have the room to do all of the things that are required of us as a child study team. Thrive comes in with the therapeutic component and allows our students to get the counseling that they need to be successful in school. Thrive works hand-in-hand with our team from the case management perspective so it’s really a wonderful addition. It has enhanced our child study team.
